We’re so glad you want to get plugged in at Calvary Chapel McDonough! In order to use your gifts and talents to serve Jesus and His people, we encourage you to join a Volunteer Team. But first, we ask that you to attend church for 3 months, which gives you time to know for certain if Calvary Chapel McDonough will be your home church. During these 3 months you can still be helpful and have things to do. Here are 2 things we encourage:
• We always welcome help with our auditorium and foyer set/up before service, and our tear/down after service.
• All volunteers must fill out a Ministry Application before they join a Volunteer Team, which you can fill out during this time.
Click on the link above to fill out our online Ministry Application. If you desire to serve in the Kids & Student Miniseries in addition to filling out the online Ministry Application you will need to print off the Background check consent form, complete it, and turn it in to Pastor Rob or drop it in the offering Box. A ministry team leader will contact you.
We're a Church That's Full of Amazing Volunteers
“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;” -Ephesians 4:11-12
Here at Calvary Chapel McDonough, we are passionate about fulfilling the desire of Jesus to make disciples by equipping believers for works of service.
If you attend Sunday services, you’re going to have the opportunity to worship God and learn from His Word. But you’re probably not going to get to know too many people just sitting in chairs, and you’re really not going to be able to put feet to your faith. People who only attend services miss out on a ton of what God has for them. Church is so much more than sitting in a church service. If you want to get the most out of Calvary Chapel McDonough and give back to God’s kingdom, we encourage you to join a Volunteer Team.
“from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” -Ephesians 4:16
Volunteers do not serve alone at Calvary Chapel McDonough. They are part of a serving team. These teams are designed to provide an optimum environment for people to connect through relationships and responsibilities.
Sunday Volunteer Descriptions
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” -1 Corinthians 12:4-7
We have several opportunities for you to pray about when it comes to using your gifts for ministry. All of these ministry opportunities are grouped into 4 teams, click on each one listed below for details:
